Here it is, this is my new book. It is now available in bookshops.
It is entitled GAZA. DISPATCHES FROM THE OBLIVION (GAZA. DISPACCI DAL DIMENTICATOIO) and is published by REDEA (in Italian).
Inside you will find many situations I have seen and experienced, the lives of many people I have met over the years working as a reporter in the Gaza Strip.
I wrote it to counteract the war and violence that has befallen the civilian population of the Strip. Every war can break out and can only be tolerated because we accept that we no longer have human beings in front of us, but what we have decided to trade them for.
Each chapter of the book is introduced by an excerpt from the the audio-correspondence that my Palestinian friend and journalist Nael Saeed Ghaboun sent from Gaza to Faccia da Reporter during the war.
His story and that of his family under the bombs is intertwined with the stories I tell. The ending hangs in the balance until the last page
